Percentages are taken from the price plus shipping. Sales tax, where it applies, is never part of what a percentage is taken from. The fee is itemised at checkout before you pay.
Examples
- A $35.00 Make: the buyer pays $36.75, and the fabricator receives $32.95.
- A $100.00 custom quote: the buyer pays $100.00, and the fabricator receives $89.70.
Both examples leave out shipping and tax.
Design creators
When a Make is built from another creator's design, the creator's licence fee is part of the price, and PrintCommons keeps the share shown above from that fee. The creator sets their own licence terms on the project.
